Fill cells using number clues to reveal the picture
Nonograms (also called Picross, Griddlers, or Paint by Numbers) are logic puzzles where you fill in cells on a grid to reveal a hidden picture. The numbers beside each row and above each column tell you how many consecutive filled cells appear in that line.
For example, a clue of "3 1" means there's a group of 3 filled cells, then at least one empty cell, then 1 filled cell. Use logic to determine which cells must be filled, which must be empty, and work through the puzzle step by step. No guessing required — every puzzle can be solved with pure deduction.
Start with the largest clues first, as they constrain the most cells. Mark cells you know are empty with an ✕ to help you think. With practice, you'll develop pattern recognition that lets you solve increasingly complex grids.
