Fill the grid — every row, column, and box needs 1–9
Sudoku is a classic number puzzle played on a 9×9 grid divided into nine 3×3 boxes. The goal is simple: fill every row, column, and box with the digits 1 through 9, with no repeats. Each puzzle starts with some numbers already placed as clues — the fewer the clues, the harder the puzzle.
Start by scanning for rows, columns, or boxes that are nearly complete. Use pencil notes to track possible candidates for each empty cell. Look for "naked singles" (cells where only one number fits) and "hidden singles" (numbers that can only go in one place within a row, column, or box). With practice, you'll develop an eye for patterns and solve puzzles faster.
